13 Aug Axia Electric NW Brings Team Members Together for Summer Scavenger Hunt
Axia Electric NW employees came together for a quarterly team-building event that combined creativity, collaboration, and friendly competition, reinforcing the strong connections that support project success.
The Axia Electric NW team recently gathered at its Richmond warehouse for a quarterly team-building event that combined friendly competition, collaboration, and plenty of fun. The Summer Scavenger Hunt provided an opportunity for employees to connect outside of their day-to-day project responsibilities while strengthening relationships across the organization.
Our quarterly events give team members a chance to step away from project work, connect with colleagues, and strengthen the relationships that make our teams successful," said Fernando De Leon, President of Axia Electric.
Participants formed teams and worked their way through a custom scavenger hunt built around tools, equipment, materials, and industry knowledge. Rather than following a simple checklist, teams were challenged to solve creative riddles and clues to identify items hidden throughout the warehouse. From fish tape and wire strippers to conduit benders and lockout/tagout devices, the hunt tested technical knowledge, critical thinking, and teamwork.
One of the highlights of the event was the creativity behind the scavenger hunt itself. The experience featured a series of clever, industry-inspired clues that blended electrical construction expertise with humor and workplace familiarity. The customized riddles transformed everyday tools and materials into an engaging challenge that was uniquely tailored to the team’s work environment.
The winning team, appropriately named “The Winners,” successfully located the most items, including the hunt’s elusive cricket bat, earning bragging rights for the event.
Following the scavenger hunt, employees gathered to enjoy tacos and spend time together, creating additional opportunities to connect and share experiences. Events like these reflect Axia Electric’s commitment to fostering a strong team culture and supporting meaningful connections among employees.
At Axia Electric, quarterly gatherings provide team members with opportunities to build relationships, collaborate across roles, and strengthen the sense of community that helps drive success on projects throughout the region. Whether in the field, in the office, or at events like these, the company continues to invest in the people and partnerships that drive its work forward.
With another successful event in the books, the team is already looking forward to the next opportunity to come together.
