Outfall Low Flow Pump Station

Axia Electric, a Shimmick Company, performed electrical installation, testing, and commissioning for the Low Flow Pump Station and Ocean Outfall System Improvements project at Orange County Sanitation District’s Plant No. 2. The scope included rehabilitation of the facility’s aging electrical distribution systems to improve reliability across the site. Axia also supported upgrades to the Effluent Pump Station Annex (EPSA), including the addition of a new 2-megawatt diesel standby generator to supplement the four existing generators.

Additional work involved integrating electrical systems for new and rehabilitated facilities, including the joint outfall low-flow pump station, ocean outfall booster station, and standby power systems, to ensure the dependable operation of critical infrastructure tied to the plant’s ocean outfall network.
