Bruce MacDonald

Operations Manager

Bruce MacDonald brings more than 40 years of experience in electrical construction, with a strong track record delivering complex scopes for major water, wastewater, energy, and transportation projects. He currently oversees electrical field operations on Shimmick’s largest projects, including CMAR, Design-Build, and Progressive Design-Build delivery.


Since joining Shimmick in 2007, Mr. MacDonald has led electrical efforts on high-profile projects such as the North City Pure Water Facility, Chickamauga Lock Replacement, and Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement. He is known for his deep technical knowledge, commitment to safety, and ability to execute critical infrastructure work on time and on budget.

Mr. MacDonald completed the IBEW Local 11 Apprenticeship Program and holds numerous industry safety certifications.
